The problem
A takeaway restaurant handled phone and WhatsApp orders by hand, with mistakes and waiting times. Market alternatives charged per order or per credit.
What I built
- Public menu in four languages with categories, allergens, sold-out items and pickup slots with limited capacity.
- Customers build their order on the web and confirm it on WhatsApp: the order is linked to their number without asking for it.
- Real-time kitchen panel with statuses (new, cooking, ready, delivered); every change notifies the customer on WhatsApp.
- Ticket printing on the kitchen printer, opening-hours editor and custom sandwiches priced by the team.
Add dishes, send the order and move it along from the kitchen.

Technical decisions
- Single-use reference with a database lock so two simultaneous messages can’t claim the same order.
- Full demo mode with no Meta connection, to show and test it without sending real messages.
- Privacy consent recorded on every order.

Outcome
Production-ready system, pending only the final WhatsApp Business setup. Shown without the business’s name to respect its privacy.
